Use knife to cut the edges of the cross linked Ethylene-vinyl acetate EVA Film. Make sure the cut is a little big.

After cross linked Ethylene-vinyl acetate EVA Film adhesive is destroyed by the BANANA OIL, then it’s easier to open the failed Ethylene-vinyl acetate EVA laminated glass.

And you can put the failed laminated glass in to BANANA OIL again if you find the destroy of cross-linked Ethylene-vinyl acetate EVA Film is not enough.

The laminated glass is processed and produced under the simultaneous work of high temperature and pressure, so under certain temperature, the solid Dry Melt adhesive EVA Interlayer Film will turn to fused substance and may easily outflow the edge of the glass under pressure. Because the edge is under the biggest pressure, the liquid film outflows the glass most easily and thus will be thinner than inside. It is inappropriate to polish the edge of the finished laminated glass immediately, otherwise it will degrade the adhesion capacity and lead to de-lamination of the edge. The principle of making laminated glass is heating and vacuuming (pressing the glass to squeeze out the air).

And when heating ,the EVA Film melt into liquid and it’s melt index is higher than PVB Film. So when vacuuming (the glasses get the pressure), the EVA Film near the edges of the pre-laminated glass will leaking out.

And if the EVA Film is leaking out too much, the edges of the laminated glass may have bubbles around.

There are two ways to solve this problem:

(1) Use the tape to seal the pre-laminated glass, but make sure you make some small holes on the tape to help vacuuming.

(2) If you make small laminated glass, you can put some goods surrounding the pre laminated glass. The surrounding goods should be as high as the pre-laminated glass. Which can make sure that the pressure is even on the pre-laminated glass.

VACUUM TIPS FOR LAMINATING GLASS WITH EVA FILM

Vacuuming is very important for manufacturing laminated glass successfully. If vacuuming is not good, the laminated glass may have bubbles. So there are some tips for vacuuming in the laminating oven.

1-Put some wire net upon the vacuum hole

Sometimes, the silicone upside may seal the vacuum hole and stop the vacuuming, if we put some wire net or fabric upon the vacuum hole, it will avoid the sealing situation.

2-Put some bar around the silicone bag

Sometimes, you can put some bars around the silicone bag to help vacuuming, but note that the height of the bars should be equal to the combination of the laminated glasses you are going to process.

3-Put big glass as template

If you laminate small laminated glasses, you can put a big glass on the silicone bag, then put the small pre-laminated glasses on the big glass, which will help vacuuming and also can avoid the small pre-laminated glass change shapes.

1.Processing the Laminated Glass with EVA Film is different from the laminating with PVB Film.

Difference in Oven: Laminating with PVB Film you need autoclave; laminating with EVA Film you need a simple oven: one-step laminating oven which is simpler and easier to process, and less cost to install the laminating oven.

2. Install the ONE-Step of vacuum laminating Oven

Make sure the silicone vacuuming bag is great, and the heating is even inside the oven.

3. Combine the pre-laminated glass

Normal the combination is :GLASS+EVA FILM+GLASS
Cut the extra EVA Film,
Solid the pre-laminated glass with tape

4. Put the pre-laminated glass inside silicone vacuum bag

Seal the silicone vacuum bag.
Start vacuum pump, double check the vacuuming is working well, and the value of vacuum pump reaches the requirement.

5. Heating in two temperature stages

Normally, the heating will be set in two stage:
Low temperature stage: 60 degrees C for 15 minutes
High temperature stage:130 degrees C for 40 minutes

6. Do NOT stop vacuuming after the laminated glass is cool as room temperature

Don’t stop vacuuming until the laminated glass is cool to the room temperature, Or the bubbles will come out inside the laminated glass.
